Entry to the GCSE STEMpath Programme is selective and based on a KS3 Maths and Science assessment, together with an evaluation of suitability for a high-expectation GCSE pathway.

The admissions process is designed to ensure that each student is ready for the pace, depth and demands of the programme, giving every member of the cohort the best chance of achieving strong results in 2028.

Admissions Timeline

Below is the full timeline for applications to join the May 2026 – Summer 2028 GCSE STEMpath cohort.

Before the assessment

  • By 10 January 2026: Register for the KS3 assessment (£25).
  • 7 February 2026: KS3 Maths and Science assessment day.
  • 21 February 2026: Some students may be asked to attend an informal online interview/assessment on Zoom to confirm suitability for the course.

After the assessment

  • 28 February 2026: Assessment outcomes and offers sent.
  • By 14 March 2026: Accept offer and pay a non-refundable £100 deposit to secure the place (this will be deducted from your first term's fees).
  • April 2026: Enrolment process and paperwork.
  • By 17 April 2026: First term fees due (May–July term).
