KS3 Year (Year 1)

Students follow an effective KS3 programme designed to strengthen core Maths skills, build scientific understanding and curiosity, develop good learning habits, and prepare confidently for GCSE study.

A Manageable Commitment

3 hours per week

The KS3 year requires just 3 hours per week, leaving plenty of time for other homeschooling activities, personal interests and hobbies, family learning time, independent reading, projects, or enrichment. This makes it an accessible and relaxed way to prepare for GCSEs.

Study Support Hours

1 hour per week

Each week, students can book a short one-to-one slot for personalised help. This is a relaxed, friendly space where they can go over tricky topics. It’s there to make sure no student feels lost or stuck.

Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

2 hours per week

Exploring key KS3 concepts, developing reasoning, and building confidence in scientific ideas.

Maths

1 hour per week

Focusing on number, algebra readiness, and problem-solving foundations.

Years 2–3: The GCSE STEMpath Programme

After the KS3 foundation year, students transition smoothly into the full two-year GCSE programme, which is identical to the standard 2-Year STEMpath course. By this stage, students begin GCSE learning feeling prepared, confident, and already familiar with STEMpath routines.

  • Edexcel IGCSE Biology – 2 hrs/week
  • Edexcel IGCSE Chemistry – 2 hrs/week
  • Edexcel IGCSE Physics – 2 hrs/week
  • Edexcel IGCSE Maths – 3 hrs/week
  • Further Maths (depending on progress)
  • Weekly study support
  • Structured teaching, assessments, and exam preparation
  • Revision and exam-term teaching

Students enter the GCSE stage ready to learn deeply, grow steadily, and progress with confidence.

Is the 3-Year KS3 & GCSE Pathway Right for Your Child?

This pathway is ideal for students who:

  • Would benefit from one year of gentle KS3 consolidation.
  • Want time to grow academically without pressure.
  • Prefer a lighter schedule before starting GCSEs.
  • Thrive with steady, supported progression.

If this sounds like your child, the next step is to apply for an assessment.

Next Step: Apply for an Assessment

Entry to the programme is by a Maths and Science assessment. This helps us understand your child’s strengths and areas for support, ensuring they begin at the right level. Places are limited and offered based on assessment and overall suitability.
